Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News
Paramount Skydance plans to start large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs under a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August valued at $8.4bn.
More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with the company intending to disclose complete information in its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Earlier reports suggested the firm was looking to reduce between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by early November.
Until December 2024, the company retained almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.
The organization did not immediately respond on the matter.
